Programa (Componente teórica)

1. Introdução (4 sessões: exposição seguida de debate)

1. Epistemologia e Filosofia das Ciências. O estatuto disciplinar da Epistemologia.
2. A relação da Filosofia das Ciências com a História das Ciências. Principais momentos da História da Filosofia da Ciência.
3. Tarefas da Filosofia das Ciências para o século XXI.
4. Grandes Categorias Epistemológicas: Cumulativismo e Não-cumulativismo, Continuismo e Descontinuismo. Externalismo e Internalismo.

2. Alguns modelos epistemológicos. Estudo comparativo (10 sessões: comentário de texto em regime de seminário).

1. Bachelard. Uma epistemologia da ruptura. Obstáculo epistemológico e filosofia do não. Um modelo internalista, descontinuista e cumulativista.
2. Positivismo Lógico. A questão da unidade das ciências. Reducionismo e não reducionismo.
3. Popper. A lógica da descoberta científica. Progresso e falsificacionismo. O problema da indução. Teoria e conjectura.
4. Thomas Kuhn. Ciência normal, crise e revolução científica. Incomensurabilidade dos paradigmas. A questão do não-cumulativismo.
5. Lakatos. Os programas de investigação científica. Núcleo duro e heurística negativa.
6. Feyerabend. O anarquismo filosófico e a proliferação de hipóteses.
